The Cleveland Museum of Art (CMA) took a deep dive into shared digital art when it announced its open access collection in January 2019.

The IC was right there in the remarkable CMA atrium during the announcement, presenting a shared, virtual gallery application for HoloLens that displayed the newly available masterpieces.

With CMA just across the street from the IC, the institutions have long discussed the merits of mixed reality as a means to immerse visitors in the original context and journey so many priceless artworks and antiquities endure.
