BOULEVARD ARTS, INC + IC, 2018

OUT OF THE GALLERY, INTO THE LIVING ROOM

Boulevard Arts has been bringing fine art out of museums to enjoy digitally through virtual reality for years, but when mixed reality came onto the scene, co-founder and CEO Elizabeth L. Reede knew the medium had immense promise and wanted to get involved.

Reede contacted the IC as a technical expert in shared, mixed reality settings. Together, Boulevard Arts and the IC have curated and visualized software applications for HoloLens that bring art out of museums like the Courtauld Gallery and The British Museum straight to your living room.

Boulevard and the IC have also teamed up to tell stories in apps like Resurrection City, which brings to life photos and oral history of the Poor People’s Campaign and March on Washington in 1968, organized by Martin Luther King, Jr., which demanded economic and human rights for poor Americans of diverse backgrounds.
