IC Fellows Extended Reality Workshop

Sep 5, 2023

Do you have an idea that you would like to teach in mixed reality? Would you like to be in the next cohort of Interactive Commons (IC) Faculty Fellows? The IC is holding in-house workshops for all interested CWRU faculty and staff to learn about creating in mixed reality (MR). At these workshops we will introduce a new suite of tools developed by the IC that provide easy, low-threshold ways to get you teaching and working with students in MR as quickly and seamlessly as possible.

Not a coder? No problem. Want to code? No problem. These tools include options for educators at any level. Expect this workshop to be fun, hands-on, and informative and to come away with a plan and the tools to continue developing your interactive, 3-D learning experience. The 2024 IC Faculty Fellows will be chosen from the workshop attendees. To attend a workshop, please fill in your application details within the Campus Groups registration:

Upcoming Dates:

Each workshop will be held in-person at the IC (11111 Euclid Ave, across from the Tinkham Veale University Center Koch Entrance) and is limited to 20 participants. No prior experience in computer science, development, or coding is required. Each segment of the workshop will be led by a member of the IC team and some IC Fellows. Participation is free and CWRU faculty and staff from all fields are encouraged to attend.

After the workshop, participants will be provided with access to these tools to continue development and will be invited to regular office hours at the IC. Looking forward to meeting you and creating with you in 3-D!
